Who we are

The First Westchester-Putnam Masonic District encompasses nine Lodges of Free and Accepted Masons chartered by the Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of the State of New York.

Lodge meetings are held in Tarrytown, Mt Kisco, Philipstown, and Verplanck, from September through June, most nights of the week.

Additionally, our Brothers come together at District-wide events coordinated through our Brotherhood and Charity associations.

Becoming a mason

Freemasonry is not a club — it is a calling.
It is one of the world’s oldest fraternities, dedicated to building better men and stronger communities. Our work is rooted in timeless principles: brotherly love, relief, and truth.

To become a Mason, a man must be of good character, believe in a higher power, and be committed to personal growth and service. We seek men who strive to live with integrity, who want to sharpen their minds, strengthen their spirits, and extend a helping hand to others.
